Gary Shawn McVey is a devoted husband, father, and servant of Jesus Christ with a deep passion for evangelism and compassion ministry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and Church Leadership from Ohio Christian University, where his Capstone project — the foundation for McVey Mobile Ministries — first took shape in 2017.

Shawn came to Christ in September of 1997 and quickly pursued the call of God on his life by attending World Harvest Bible College, where he completed a two-year diploma program. In 2005, he became part of the inner-city outreach ministry of his home church, Metro Harvest, where he faithfully served until 2011 in multiple roles including volunteer, food giveaway organizer, evangelist, and block/quad leader for neighborhood outreach. In 2012, he co-led a home group, providing a space for worship, teaching, and intercessory prayer. Feeling the Lord calling him deeper, he returned to school in 2015 and earned his degree in Church Leadership.

In 2021, Shawn relocated to Miami, Florida to join a new church community — a move that not only expanded his ministry vision but also led him to his wife. Together, they are now raising two beautiful daughters.

Out of their shared heart for outreach and obedience to God’s leading, Shawn and his wife launched McVey Mobile Ministries (M³), a faith-driven vision to bring the hope of the Gospel and the help of tangible resources directly to people in need. Their ministry centers around two custom-outfitted vehicles: one focused on evangelism through worship, preaching, and testimony, and the other on providing food, hygiene items, and compassion-driven care. The vehicles are designed to work both independently and together, serving communities through practical outreach and Spirit-led encounters. M³ exists to meet people where they are — both physically and spiritually — and to be a mobile expression of Christ’s love in action.

Linda Lanning is the mother of Shawn McVey. She is the Treasurer of the organization and a major support to connecting with vendors for resources for the food pantry.
